Hawkgirl by Josh Mills
Heh, see that newspaper in the foreground? They changed the headline in the print version— one the few times Marvel’s censured me. I didn’t think it was inflammatory or anything… :P
Anyway, this page and a whole bunch like it are on sale at my gallery at Anthony Snider’s Comic Art. Check it out!

Hera are a few SAINT GEORGE reviews!
From The Out Housers—
“We open with the inaugural chapter of Saint George: Dragonslayer, written by Fred Van Lente and drawn by Reilly Brown. An adaptation of the tale of the historical Saint George of Lydda, killer of dragons, the story begins at a battle at the Fort at Cusae, a city in Egypt, where Saint George is quelling a rebellion. I’m a history buff, so right away I was hooked especially with Van Lente at the helm. Brown’s art is great too; the angles he chose, which are at head level, provide an urgency during the battle.”

“Well it is that time for another awesome anthology series by the ever so amazing Dark Horse comics. They have done a very good job with balancing the stories and developing each one. I have to say that I really enjoyed the story with Saint George and the Monstrous title. They do a really good with these titles in particular. I have to say that I believe that all the stories in this book are great but those two were my favorites.”

From Comic Bastards—
“The big story premiere comes to us from Fred Van Lente and Reilly Brown with a story called Saint George: Dragonslayer. It’s an interesting story that takes place in Egypt as Romans are being overrun by a self-declared Pharaoh’s army. Georgius is summoned by his Centurion commander in the middle of a battle and that’s really where the core of the story beings. I liked several aspects of this story and I’m actually interested in seeing where this one goes. I have a feeling that it will get a mini-series after its DHP run and with Brown’s art it definitely deserves it.”
