New Manga Studio Guide In The Works

Many of you know that a few years back, I wrote Manga Studio for Dummies, a comprehensive guide to the comics production program of the same name.

You may also know that the book covered version 3, while the current program is up to version 4.

Well, I’ve got some good nes for yall. I can now say that, while it won’t be a Dummies branded book, I will be starting work on a new Manga Studio guide book in 2012. The goal at this stage is to release it as an eBook, available for your favorite tablet or e-Ink reader.

There’s no set timetable, but I’d like to have it done by the summer. We’ll see what happens, so stay tuned!

A New (ish) Format

So, you’ve probably noticed that the front page hasn’t been updated in a while. That was because we were trying to figure out the best way to use this section.

One idea was to just make the front page a static page with some basic information, and links to other places you can find us. But, that just didn’t seem like the way to go.

Instead, we’re going to open things up to all of the Ten Ton bigwigs to post their own stuff on the front page (instead of just posting small snippets of news like I had been doing). You’ll hear from Khoi, Reilly, Nick, and the others about what they’re currently working on, and maybe even post some new artwork.

So keep an eye on this space as all of us at Ten Ton will keep you up to date on what’s going on.
